About Dot & Dash

Our Story

Dot & Dash started out as a fun way to make gear exactly how I wanted, stuff that could be used for training, hikes, and everything in between. My guys are true bog dogs, so anything I use needs to survive being dragged through water, mud, snow, gravel—you name it.

That means hardware that won't rust, lines that are thin and light, and gear that performs reliably—all packaged in clean, classic designs that function as good as they look.

After a few years of making things for myself and friends, I wanted to share the same well-made, high-quality products with others—and that’s how Dot & Dash Dog Company came to be.

Our products are handcrafted in Massachusetts with solid brass hardware, chosen for its durability and rust-proof properties. We also use Chicago screws as our fasteners of choice because compromising on safety was never an option (they won’t pop like rivets can).

All this means our products are probably a little more expensive, but that’s ok, because they should last you a very long time (and if they don’t, we’ve got you covered with our lifetime warranty).

Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Morse

The inspiration behind the name.

Morse is an Australian Shepherd who can't help but get as gross as possible, as often as possible. His favorite things to roll in include beaver poop, sap, and anything dead.

Morse inspired the name Dot & Dash because Morse Code is made up of—you guessed it—dots and dashes!
